Data security should be a forethought rather than an afterthought. Therefore, aspiring Microsoft Cloud Security Architects must be able to anticipate and proactively identify security requirements at all stages of cloud computing to ensure a secure design, build, and ongoing security management of cloud platforms.
Modernise the reliability and security of Microsoft cloud platforms and the data with which they are entrusted.
Analyse, consult and develop solutions. Communicate security diagnostics, and policy recommendations with security engineers and other teams
Design data-, network-, application- and container security measures like firewalls, identity and network access-controls and DDoS Protections.
Transform the perception of the cloud and advise clients on the benefits of moving their data ‘off-premise’.

A passion for cybersecurity in general and the Microsoft environment in particular, especially Azure and M365.
Future-oriented individuals with a life-long learning attitude.
Certifications are good, but practical experience and strong interdisciplinary analytical skills are essential.
A sound understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, IAM, cloud architectures and security, as well as threat protection and information security.
Highly motivated to constantly improve themselves, businesses, and cloud security.
Hypervisor- and Hyperscaler specific training e.g. AZ-303/304, certificates like ISO27001, CISSP, CISA, CISM,CCSP,CCSK, MS500, AZ-500, CompTIA-Cloud+ and Essentials.
